Masterpiece
Masterpiece was a proposed graphics card by Miracle Systems.
Announced in 1992, it was said that the "Masterpiece Enhanced Graphics Card” would soon see the light of day, with a targeted selling price of £50.
The design was a small circuit board which would replace the ZX8301 ULA and would necessitate removal of the 68008 also.
The card offered two displays, QL mode (512 x 512) or an enhanced graphics mode (1024 x 512 - requiring an SVGA non-interlaced monitor), and would have 128K of video RAM on board. Software to drive the new board will reside in a new ROM to be issued for the Super Gold Card (required for enhanced graphics).
Unfortunately, the interface was never released.
