Return to Eden

Before Level-9 released its own adventure called Return to Eden, Oliver Neef wrote this text and graphics text adventure for the Sinclair QL. Spanning 3 floppy disks, this is the largest adventure game released for the QL to date (2018).

Originally released in German by Hallmark Software, it was translated to English and updated by Rich Mellor, and then published by CGH Services; finally being published by Rich Mellor under his own trading name, RWAP Adventures following the demise of CGH Services.

Return to Eden displays a graphical display of each location and a text description and allows you to control three different characters, all of which have different skills and abilities within the game.

All 3 characters have been sent by the King of Eldomir to the Island of Eden to search for and rescue his son and heir Morkin.

The game is played in real-time, with the passage of night and day affecting what you can do. The interpreter is also good at allowing English phrases, rather than the normal verb + noun format, so you can use for example, OPEN THE DOOR WITH THE WOODEN KEY.

Originally published for the Sinclair QL computer, thanks to the QL2K emulator, RWAP Adventures have now released a version for Windows.
